Eggwhites is very confident and hopeful looking towards the future and being a part of your special day! We have embraced the fact that there is a “new normal” developing and have come up with a bunch of helpful responses to FAQs!

Q: When can we start planning again?
THE PLANNING PROCESS SHOULD START EARLY, ESPECIALLY FOR WEDDING CELEBRATIONS!  DUE TO THE BACKLOG OF EVENTS THAT WERE POSTPONED, IT'S IMPORTANT TO NAIL DOWN DATE/SERVICES SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.

WE ALL KNOW THAT THERE WILL BE SOME CHANGES TO THE USUAL WAY OF PRODUCING WEDDINGS, BUT WE ARE VERY ACTIVE IN STAYING CURRENT IN REGARD TO SAFETY AND WEDDING TRENDS WHILE STILL PROVIDING AN EGGSTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE.

Q: How can you guarantee that my guests will be safe at my event?
EGGWHITES WILL BE FOLLOWING THE PROTOCOLS AND SAFETY MEASURES SET BY THE CDC, AS WELL AS FOLLOWING FEDERAL, LOCAL AND STATE GUIDELINES. EGGWHITE'S EMPLOYEE TRAINING WILL PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL LAYER OF PROTECTION ALONG WITH RECOMMENDED PPE (PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT SUCH AS GLOVES AND MASKS).

THESE SAME PROTOCOLS ARE ALSO EMPLOYED IN OUR FOOD PRODUCTION FACILITY. WE ARE MONITORED REGULARLY BY THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND CODE ENFORCEMENT. THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT TO US THAN KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE AND HEALTHY. 

Q: Should I be worried about you going out of business?
NO! EGGWHITES HAS BEEN GOING STRONG FOR 25 YEARS AND WE PLAN ON CONTINUING AT LEAST ANOTHER 75! WE ARE HOWEVER RECOMMENDING THAT OUR CLIENTS EXPLORE THE NOTION OF PURCHASING WEDDING INSURANCE (SUCH AS WEDSURE) TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL LAYER OF PROTECTION AND COMFORT. BE AWARE THAT NOT ALL POLICIES ARE EQUAL. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE SIGNING!!

Q: Will Eggwhites be planning on changing the way you present and serve food?
WE'VE ALWAYS OFFERED MANY MANY OPTIONS IN REGARD TO FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE STYLES. OUR RECOMMENDATION AT THIS TIME IS TO CONSIDER A SERVED MEAL FORMAT RATHER THAN STATIONS OR A BUFFET. HOWEVER, WE ARE LEARNING MORE AND MORE ABOUT OTHER APPROACHES, SO LET'S TALK ABOUT IT!

Q: Should I invite less guests to avoid a “large gathering”?
THERE ARE A NUMBER OF FACTORS TO CONSIDER WHEN DECIDING ON THIS IMPORTANT QUESTION. THEY INCLUDE CONSIDERATIONS SUCH AS: THE EVENT LOCATION, SEATING STYLE, MENU STYLE, AND LOTS MORE. WE WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP YOU NAVIGATE THIS CHALLENGING ISSUE. 

Q: Can you be flexible with payments during this economic hardship?
YES, OF COURSE, WE UNDERSTAND HOW DIFFICULT THINGS ARE FOR SOME FOLKS ON THE ECONOMIC FRONT RIGHT NOW. WE ARE HAPPY TO DESIGN A PAYMENT PLAN THAT WORKS FOR YOU.

YES! WE ARE AVAILABLE M-F 9:00A-6:00P AND LOOKING FORWARD TO SPEAKING WITH YOU.

Q: Are weddings being booked as usual?
AS WE ALL KNOW, NOTHING REALLY FEELS QUITE NORMAL RIGHT NOW. THE WEDDING AND EVENTS INDUSTRY HAS CERTAINLY BEEN AFFECTED TO A LARGE DEGREE, BUT WE ARE STILL ACTIVELY BOOKING WEDDINGS AND HAVE CONFIDENCE THAT THINGS WILL CONTINUE TO IMPROVE!

Q: How has this pandemic affected Eggwhites?
EGGWHITES ALONG WITH THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR INDUSTRY ASSOCIATES HAVE HAD TO TRIM DOWN OUR FULL TIME STAFF, BUT REST ASSURED THAT WE ARE READY TO PRODUCE YOUR WEDDING, WITH FIRST CLASS SERVICE AND RESPONSIVENESS!

Q: We are planning our wedding for the Winter of 2021 and very concerned. What kind of assurances can you give us that it is safe to move forward with our special day?
WE BELIEVE THAT BY WINTER 2021, THINGS WILL BE GETTING BETTER AND THAT YOUR SPECIAL DAY WILL COME OFF WITHOUT A HITCH. WE WILL DILIGENTLY CONTINUE FOLLOWING ALL LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL ORDINANCES AND GUIDELINES IN ORDER TO KEEP CURRENT ON NEW INFORMATION THAT WE WILL PROACTIVELY SHARE WITH YOU. 

Q: How are you setting up rooms/tables to have appropriate social distancing?
WE PREFER THE TERM "PHYSICAL DISTANCING". WE ARE ALL SOCIAL CREATURES AND BEING AROUND LOVED ONES AND FRIENDS ARE FOUNDATIONAL TO OUR HEALTH AND WELL BEING. HAVING SAID THAT, WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF DESIGNING LAYOUTS TO FORTIFY THE SAFETY AND INTEGRITY OF YOUR EVENT AND THE SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF ALL!

FOOD & BEVERAGE

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE THE DIETARY NEEDS OF OUR GUESTS SHOULD THEY HAVE SPECIAL DIET NEEDS SUCH AS GLUTEN-FREE RESTRICTIONS OR SPECIFIC FOOD ALLERGIES?
ABSOLUTELY! PLEASE LET US KNOW OF ANY RESTRICTIONS PRIOR TO THE EVENT SO THAT OUR CULINARY TEAM CAN BE PREPARED WITH THE APPROPRIATE FOOD ITEMS.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY “CHEF’S SELECTION OF HORS D’OEUVRES”?
A “CHEF’S SELECTION” IS A MENU CURATED BY THE CHEF, BASED ON OTHER PROGRAMS/PRODUCTS IN-HOUSE AND IN PRODUCTION AT THE TIME OF YOUR EVENT. THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO ECONOMIZE FOR OUR CLIENTS, WHILE STILL OFFERING A WIDE ARRAY OF DELICIOUS CHOICES.

DO YOU OFFER FOOD TASTINGS?
YES, PLEASE INQUIRE ABOUT THE VARIOUS OPTIONS FOR TASTINGS.

WHEN DO YOU NEED FINALIZED MENU CHOICES AND GUEST COUNT?
THE FINAL GUEST COUNT AND MENU CHOICES ARE DUE (10) BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR EVENT. AFTER THIS TIME, WE CAN ALWAYS INCREASE THE GUEST COUNT OR ADD TO THE PROGRAM.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE LAST MINUTE REQUESTS?
IF THERE ARE ANY LAST MINUTE CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM, PLEASE CALL YOUR CATERING MANAGER ASAP. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ACCOMMODATE AND MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES FOR YOU!

DO YOU OFFER CHILDREN’S MEALS?
OF COURSE! PLEASE LET YOUR CATERING MANAGER KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE US TO PROVIDE “KID-FRIENDLY” FOOD AT YOUR EVENT. WE ARE HAPPY TO PROVIDE YOU WITH SOME MENU SUGGESTIONS.

DO YOU PROVIDE VENDOR MEALS AND IF SO HOW MUCH DO THEY COST?
YES – PLEASE LET YOUR CATERING MANAGER KNOW PRIOR TO THE EVENT HOW MANY VENDOR MEALS ARE NEEDED.
VENDOR MEALS ARE OFFERED FOR A MINIMAL CHARGE.

ARE YOU A KOSHER CATERER?
WHILE WE ARE NOT A KOSHER CATERER, WE HAVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE BEST KOSHER CATERERS AND RESTAURANTS. IF REQUESTED, WE WILL WORK WITH ONE OF OUR KOSHER CATERING PARTNERS TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR NEEDS FOR KOSHER MEALS.

CAN WE PROVIDE THE ALCOHOL, AND YOU PROVIDE THE BAR LABOR?
YES, CLIENTS MAY PROVIDE THE ALCOHOL IF THEY WOULD LIKE. EGGWHITES WOULD PROVIDE A “MIXER PACKAGE”, WHICH INCLUDES ALL OF THE OTHER NECESSARY COMPONENTS OF THE BAR (SOFT DRINKS, MIXERS, WATER, BAR GARNISHES, ICE, BAR EQUIPMENT AND BARTENDERS). BY USING EGGWHITES STAFF FOR THE BAR/BEVERAGE SERVICE, YOUR EVENT IS COVERED BY OUR LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE.

SERVICE STANDARDS

WHAT IS THE RATIOS OF SERVERS AND BARTENDERS TO GUESTS?
THE STAFF TO GUEST RATIO VARIES DEPENDING ON A NUMBER OF FACTORS INCLUDING THE TYPE AND COMPLEXITY OF THE EVENT.

HOW WILL THE SERVERS/BARTENDERS BE DRESSED?
OUR SERVICE STAFF WEARS ALL BLACK UNIFORMS (LONG SLEEVE BUTTON-DOWN OPEN COLLARED DRESS SHIRT, BLACK DRESS PANTS AND BLACK DRESS SHOES).

DO YOU CONDUCT A SITE INSPECTION PRIOR TO THE EVENT?
DEPENDING ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE EVENT, EGGWHITES MAY WISH TO CONDUCT A “SITE INSPECTION” PRIOR TO THE EVENT TO ENSURE THAT WE UNDERSTAND THE VENUE LOGISTICS. WE ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH MANY SOUTH FLORIDA VENUES, SO THIS IS NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY.

PRICING

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
YES, HOWEVER OUR PROGRAMS ARE DISCOUNTED BASED ON PAYMENTS BY CHECK, CASH OR WIRE TRANSFER.

HOW MUCH DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO HOLD MY DATE
THE DEPOSIT VALUE IS 50% OF THE PROGRAM TOTAL. PLEASE TALK TO YOUR CATERING MANAGER ABOUT ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT PLANS.

WHEN IS THE FINAL PAYMENT DUE?
FINAL PAYMENT (ALONG WITH FINAL GUEST COUNT AND MENU SELECTIONS) ARE DUE 10 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR EVENT. AFTER THIS TIME, WE CAN ALWAYS INCREASE GUEST COUNTS OR ADD TO THE PROGRAM.

DOES THE SERVICE CHARGE INCLUDE GRATUITY FOR STAFF? HOW DO YOU HANDLE TIPS FOR YOUR STAFF?
THE SERVICE FEE IS RELATED TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE EVENT AND COVERS SOME OF THE OVERHEAD COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RUNNING A CATERING BUSINESS. THE SERVICE FEE IS UNRELATED TO A GRATUITY; IT IS NOT SYNONYMOUS WITH A GRATUITY. TIPS/GRATUITY FOR THE STAFF ARE APPRECIATED AND AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE CLIENT.

ARE THERE ANY FEES THAT WON’T BE INCLUDED IN THE PROPOSAL THAT WE SHOULD BE AWARE OF?
THE ONLY FEE THAT MAY NOT BE LISTED IN THE INITIAL PROPOSAL IS LOCAL SALES TAX. IF THERE ARE COSTS FOR ANY VENUE/GALLEY FEES, PERMITTING FEES, ADDITIONAL INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS, ETC., THEY ARE PASSED THROUGH TO THE CLIENT.

INSURANCE

ARE YOU LICENSED IN FLORIDA WITH HEALTH PERMITS AND LIABILITY INSURANCE?
YES, COPIES OF COVERAGE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

ARE YOU LICENSED TO SERVE ALCOHOL?
YES, COPIES OF LICENSE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

WILL YOU PROVIDE A CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY WITH THE VENUE AS THE NAMED INSURED?
YES, THIS CAN BE PROVIDED AT NO ADDITIONAL COST IF REQUESTED.
