Remy Martin David LaChapelle V.S.OP. Brand Launch Party Miami

The energy at Charcoal Studios was electric for the launch of Remy Martin’s first Limited Edition Cognac VSOP. The bottle features a label designed by photograph artist David LaChapelle. David LaChapelle is the creative brainchild behind the music videos of Amy Winehouse, Elton John and The Dandy Warhols to name a few.

LaChapelle took inspiration from the Paris cabaret scene during the 1920s Jazz Age when Remy Martin first appeared. The artist is known for his use of a vibrant color palette. His choice of a curvaceous dancing woman in a brightly colored jungle is certainly in keeping with his signature style.

ABOUT THE REMY MARTIN BRAND LAUNCH PARTY

The studio served as a backdrop for a multicolored light installation. Guests entered through a jungle canopy of palm trees and bird-of-paradise flowers with hues of green light to illuminate the space. Remy Martin transformed the event space to interpret the showy label’s look.  Eggwhites Catering led the production of the Miami launch party from the custom bars and cocktail tables to the Josephine Baker-esque models.  The bottle artwork was painted on the models who danced and entertained throughout the evening.

The Eggwhites bar staff mixed Remy Martin cocktails from color coordinated light up waterfall bars. Specialty cocktails included the Sex A’ Peel (V.S.O.P. with banana and a shot of balsamic vinegar) and the Aphrodisiac (V.S.O.P. with strawberries, pomegranate juice and apple juice).  Eggwhites created custom hors d’oeuvres that were also designed to match LaChapelle’s artwork.

Midway through the brand launch party, the lighting changed shifted to jewel tones to create drama for the big reveal. Guests gathered to the center of the room as the bottle was unveiled by a Josephine Baker lookalike from behind a 360 degree screened-in stage in the center of the room. The screens dropped and our “Josephine” stood elevated in the center of the room. All spotlights were on her as she revealed the special bottle for the first time to a very enthusiastic Miami crowd.
