Purple power is here to stay. Pantone Institute has named Ultra Violet as the color trend of 2018! The Pantone Institute is an authority on all things color related and their color report is a great benchmark for what to watch for in wedding colors, decor, fashion and more! 

Part of being an industry leader is staying ahead of trends and keeping a finger on the pulse of our clientele to see how they are being inspired. Even last year, we talked about the power of purple and we have been seeing the 'Color of the Year' incorporated into a number of our weddings and events.

Expect to see this most passionate shade of purple providing a pop of color in wedding florals, wedding décor, wedding attire and even our food and drink!

We often use edible flowers like these ultra violet orchids to introduce color to your courses.

WEDDING CAKE AND SWEETS

Decorate your cake with violet blooms or with delicate ultra violet and pink sugar flowers to accent an ivory wedding cake. We love the trend of dressing up a wedding cake with ruffled ombre fondant. The ombre trend extends to sweets as well - cake pops and macarons are just a few violet sweets that will dazzle as the endcap of an ombre sweets presentation.

Although these color predictions are interesting to watch, the latest wedding trend will not sway someone away from what they have dreamed of. Wedding colors are chosen based on what they love - if they always dreamed of an all-white wedding, no shade of purple will draw them away.  While it is important to be aware of current and future trends, it is more important to understand your clients needs and wants and help to make their unique dream wedding a reality.
